Jim read it…And switched off his phone….He went back to thinking…
He didn’t turn up at college for the next two days….Then it was Sunday….Finally on Monday Jim arrived….Just when he entered his class he found his bunch of friends…All confused….
‘Hey Jim!What happened to you…Are you ok?Where were you? And whats with your phone?’, Rekha asked…Rekha was a just one day older to Jim….Jim and she had planned to treat their friends together…It helps economically!! Rekha was Jim’s third date…Athletic built…Beautiful eyes..messy hair with blue steaks….Very cool attitude…And she wore a nose ring….She was just like Jim…So even though their date didn’t work out, they continued to remain friends….good friends….
Jim looked at her and smiled, ‘Nothing Rekh!I am ok…There was some battery problem in my phone…Oh..You’re looking unusually stunning today’…Rekha winked…Just then he looked at Emma and back again at Rekha and asked, ‘Have you found yourself someone as well?’…Both Emma and Rekha remained silent…Nobody understood anything….Rekha and Emma almost did but decided to believe that they didn’t!Silence prevailed….
Everyone thought it would be better if they got seated since the entire conversation was heading nowhere….They decided to leave Jim alone….Emma walked up to Jim and sat next to him…Jim didn’t look at her…’Is he druck?’, Emma thought to herself…He wasn’t…He was neatly copying notes….Suddenly she held his hand….Jim felt terrible….He didn’t know how to react…He just looked up at her as if puzzled….
‘Something is wrong…You’re sure you don’t want to talk about it?’She asked Jim….
